Sisco-Law partners, Dale Sisco and Peter Luccarelli (supported by their excellent paralegal, Kim Faught), defended a St. Johns County nursing home and related entities in a Chapter 400 negligence and wrongful death action. The Sisco-Law defense resulted in the dismissal of claims against the alleged management company, the nursing home Administrator and a corporate executive. Plaintiff recovered one-third of its last pre-trial demand, and 10% of the total damages requested. Plaintiff's claims of understaffing and the failure to implement side rails or positioning devices to prevent the resident from rolling out of bed were rejected.
